CONCEPTUAL DESIGN PROCESS

Get to know us and we will get to know you and your project during an initial phone call or email followed by an appointment where we will discuss your project in depth and our possible role. We ask you to provide pictures, colors, finishes and any other information that would be helpful as we discuss what you want your ideal space to be.  

Once we understand your project’s scope, budget and your expectations of us, we will send you a contract with a detailed estimate (for your approval) of what is required to complete your interior space plans, 2D & 3D CAD drawings, elevations or renderings. 

This is when we begin to work with you, your architect, contractor and/or structural engineer to review or design an interior that meets your aesthetic and lifestyle needs. In this final step, we will create the drawings that are needed. We will document any further details and specifications that are determined and present to you for final approval. If this is a remodel or addition we will measure and take photographs of the space to be designed or decorated for reference.

Once we understand your project’s scope, budget and your expectations of us, we will send you a contract with a detailed estimate (for your approval) of what is required to complete your material specifications.

Once we receive your approval, we will do a complete review of your project's architecture, design style, scale, budget, allowances, lifestyle, etc. to carefully explore, plan and begin to create your original design.

This is when we will begin to correspond with the builders, re-modelers, sub-contractors, vendors and most of all the homeowners to coordinate selections.  Our role and level of involvement can take many forms depending on the client’s needs and budget.  We will create room schedules, paint schedules or any other schedules that are needed. We will document any further details and specifications for your project to keep you, the contractor and anyone else involved in the project fully informed as to the decisions that have been made and or changed.  

During this phase, we are very often onsite to confirm that items are received in good condition, installed correctly and that our details and specifications are followed properly to ensure you receive your desired outcome.

We will measure and take pictures of the space to be decorated or furnished for reference.

Once we understand your project’s scope, budget and your expectations of us, we will send you a contract with a detailed estimate (for your approval) of what is required to complete your furnishing selections.

Next is the fun part where we bring some of your visions to life as we work on space planning. We will create rough sketches of furniture layouts and interior elevations to help determine the items needed for each space. We will also begin the process of selecting fixtures, furniture and fabrics.

Once the items have been selected we will present to you cost estimates for your review and revision. 

Once we receive final approval of the items selected we will also aid in the coordination of the purchase, shipping and the placement of each selected item.
